Lollapalooza is already here, and at Samsung’s invitation we’ll be attending the event. And of course we put together a “what’s in my bag” for the occasion — here we’ll have a mix of the best in technology with truly useful items that can also be used in everyday life.
Warm-up with friends.
The first item isn’t necessarily something that goes in your backpack, but it’s not just useful for the festival — it can come in handy on other occasions too. We’re talking about Lity’s speaker, the OWI B12, which besides being really cute also has power bank functions, making it a great choice for meeting up with friends and getting the music going before heading out, since you can listen to your tunes without worrying about your smartphone battery dying. It also has an AUX output and IP65 splash protection.
A good backpack.
With a festival in São Paulo, where the weather is usually unpredictable, a good backpack/bag makes a big difference. The size varies a lot depending on the items and what you want to bring, but something lightweight that won’t make your back sweat, for example, is recommended.
Money Belt/Fanny Pack
This is a really interesting item because it’s lightweight, discreet, and can be worn under your shirt. A money belt helps you keep documents, a public transit card, and some emergency cash safe, without worrying about losing your wallet or in case of a robbery.
Clip-On Glasses
This is a personal pick, since I have a high degree of farsightedness and astigmatism, I found a really interesting solution at Chilli Beans that lets me have prescription glasses and clip on the dark lens whenever I want. To go with it, I use a cheap Chinese-made lens case that takes up almost no space and fits the lens along with a microfiber cloth.
Power Bank and Cable
A power bank is an essential item — hours spent using your phone to film, take photos, update social media, and being away from an outlet call for a good power bank. The one we recommend has been featured here before: the Baseus 45W, 20,000mAh, which guarantees a full day without worrying about battery life. And of course you can’t bring that cable your pet chewed through, so our tip is the Lity USB-C cable — aluminum alloy connectors, a reinforced TPE thermoplastic head, and braided cabling ensure durability.
Small Items
Mini S-hook carabiner, phone neck strap, mini EVA foam picnic mat, and a flashlight. These four items come in handy in a lot of situations — the mini mat is great for lining the ground to sit on and even for setting down snacks instead of dealing with the grass and rocks. The mini S-hook carabiner works for all sorts of occasions when you want to clip something on, like your backpack, a belt loop, or random situations, since it opens on both ends. The neck strap makes it quick and easy to grab your phone when you want to film something, while also keeping it safe from anyone trying to snatch it. And the flashlight keeps you safe leaving the event, which in Lolla’s case is pretty dark (based on our 2023 experience).

Incredible cameras, amazing zoom. The device promises — and delivers — a great way to capture memories of amazing days. Plus it’s protected with an IP68 rating in case it rains, and has a powerful battery that won’t leave you stranded anytime soon.
Sunscreen, Insect Repellent, and Other Essentials
I always carry a small organizer pouch to keep my essentials in order — wet wipes, tissues, Salonpas patches, and band-aids (30+ of them in there) — other medications are allowed in with a medical prescription, but these items make a real difference during the day. Sunscreen is a must-have; we recommend La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios Ultra facial sunscreen, which also works as a makeup base and has SPF 60.
With the city of São Paulo on alert for dengue, insect repellent is a must — the most recommended for protection are those that contain Icaridin.
